Science behind it
They claim all products are professionally formulated – so you can be sure you’re getting the best quality.
“Our nutritionists work closely with an expert team at Cultech, a leading manufacturer in the supplement industry, to ensure our capsule formulations deliver on their promise. Our products only include what your body can absorb safely, and are free from unnecessary bulking agents, fillers, colours and preservatives.
Our Omega-3 + D3 product is formulated with Eurocaps, a leading softgel manufacturer. Eurocaps-specialised technology ensures the omega fatty acids contained in our Omega-3 + D3 supplement are protected from heat and light, which can otherwise damage these delicate fats, rendering them ineffective.
Both Cultech and Eurocaps were established in 1994 and are GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certified, and MHRA the (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) accredited. This means they work within a strict system to ensure quality products that minimise any risk to the consumer. This includes a robust raw material approval process and traceability from raw materials to finished product, so you can be confident in terms of both quality and safety” from their page.

Are personalised Vitamins worth it
Here’s what I recieved:
- Omega 3 +D3 (Brain and Mood)
Ingredients: Wild Fish Oil, Omega 3, Lemon Oil, Vitamin D3, Tocopherols
Does not contain: Gluten, Lactose or Dairy, Artificial Colours, Preservatives, Wheat, Added Sugar, Added Salt, Yeast, Maize, Eggs, Soybeans, Sweeteners, Peanuts
Fish oil primarily contains two types of omega-3 fatty acids — eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are well known for their heart health and skin benefits. However, fish oil also has an incredible impact on the brain, especially when it comes to mild memory loss and depression.
Vitamin D is so important to brain function that its receptors can be found throughout the brain and plays a critical role in many of the most basic cognitive functions, including learning and making memories. When it comes to being happy, the higher your vitamin D levels, the more likely you are to feel happy rather than blue!
- Prenatal (Folate is an important nutrient that lactating women need more since this is excreted in breast milk and also more calcium)
Ingredients: Calcium, Magnesium, Choline Bitartrate, Vitamin C, Brown Rice Flour, Vitamin K2, L-Selenomethionine, Vitamin E, Inositol, Ginger Root, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B6, Vitamin D3, Vitamin B2, Rice Hull Concentrate, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B12, Zinc, Vitamin B5, Beta Carotene, Biotin, Manganese, Folic Acid (as 5-MTHF Glucosamine), Iodine, Chromium Picolinate
Does not contain: Gluten, Lactose or Dairy, Artificial Colours, Fillers, Binders, Preservatives, Wheat, Added Sugar, Added Salt, Yeast, Maize, Eggs, Crustaceans, Fish, Soybeans, Sweeteners
During pregnancy, the demand for folate is increased. Without adequate supplementation, levels of maternal folate decrease gradually from the fifth month of pregnancy onwards and remain low for several months after childbirth. This decline in folate levels is further accentuated in women with shorter inter-pregnancy intervals.
“Given the evidence supporting a link between low folate levels and depression, a study in 2011 explored the association between depressive symptoms during and after pregnancy and self-reported use of folic acid supplements during pregnancy. In this prospective study including 6809 pregnant women, depressive symptoms were measured with the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) at 18 and 32 weeks of pregnancy and at 8 weeks, 8 months and 21 months postpartum. Information on the use of folic acid supplements was collected using a questionnaire administered at 18 and 32 weeks gestation.”
Also, it is during the breastfeeding period that you may need to rebuild calcium in your bones. Calcium supplements therefore provide greater benefits to you if you are breastfeeding than to other women because they are absorbed to a greater extent at this stage! Calcium supplementation during breastfeeding is essential for women who are not meeting the daily calcium requirement during that period.
- Probiotic – often called good bacteria because they help keep your gut healthy! Aids digestion!
Ingredients: Potato Maltodextrin, Lactobacillus Acidophilus Co-culture, Bifidobacterium Co-culture, Rice Hull Concentrate
Does not contain: Gluten, Lactose or Dairy, Artificial Colours, Fillers, Binders, Preservatives, Wheat, Added Sugar, Added Salt, Yeast, Maize, Eggs, Crustaceans, Fish, Soybeans, Sweeteners
Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that are good for you, especially your digestive system. We usually think of these as germs that cause diseases. But your body is full of bacteria – Probiotics are often called good or helpful bacteria because they help keep your gut healthy.
My experience
Very positive experience and I’ve been using these products a month now! I love the individual packages for each day! The tablets I’ve been taking have been easy on my stomach and catered for my specific requirements which is really handy.
In the ideal world, people would eat home cooked meals with fresh ingredients made from whole foods but reality falls far short of this and as a single mum of three children I have found these a great way to get extra nourishment into my body which are helpful for my personal requirements like stress, breast feeding and getting those probiotics for digestion!
Chronic stress depletes vitamin supply. Cortisol, the hormone released with stress, uses up B-vitamins and vitamin C and in the long term can burn you out while draining your body of vitamins and it’s been great to add them back in postnatally.
I’ve done some research into Cultech and Eurocaps and they are reputable companies but keep in mind before you buy, if you’re unsure to always consult your GP before taking any medications or supplements.
In regard to Probiotics – live organisms can have a limited shelf life, so people should use probiotics before their expiration dates to maximize the potential benefits. To prevent the organisms from losing their potency products should be kept at room temperature or in a cool, dark place.
For advice on if you should take vitamin supplements I’ve added a link to the NHS website.
I am aware supplements can be helpful and health enhancing or harmful and a waste of money but I think it all depends on what you take, how natural it is and whether your body can absorb it. There’s a lot to be said for ditching cheap supplements and organising fresh home made meals.
I’ve been sent these for purpose of review, however, all opinions are my own and page contains no affiliate links! You can use code Bryony15 for money off!

I am 100% positive I’m not getting the vitamins I need. I have been thinking about adding a few supplements to just give myself the best health possible. I’ve not heard of this brand and it is something I’ll look into further

I’ve never heard of a company that will tailor vitamins to your needs. This sounds like a good idea as often we are left to our own devices to figure out what we need. This will help determine alternatives to all those prescriptions that doctors try to write us. #ThatFridayLinky
