Willow & Wild Box July Review

What is a Willow and Wild Box!?

It is nature inspired fun and learning!

Willow and Wild Box is a monthly subscription box for 3 – 8 year olds, packed full of growing, craft, cooking and outdoor activities, delivered straight to your door. Every box is inspired by nature, with the aim of getting children exploring the outdoors and learning about how things grow, the changing seasons, healthy eating, and animal/plant life cycles.

What do they include?

So what was in our box? When the boxes arrived I was really impressed with the contents, all the craft materials were of an excellent quality furthermore the boxes include at least two craft projects with all the materials, vegetable and flower seeds with step by step planting, recipe idea, outdoor activities and inspiration guides and much more! I love the fact they offer ideas for more activities and a booklet to tick them off!

If you don’t have a garden, that’s no issue! All the seeds can be grown in containers, on a windowsill or in the garden.

Look at our adventures!

We painted water-colour jelly fish!

We planted our Spinach and Sea Holly Seeds!

All done!

We went on a nature hunt to see what we could add to our journal like the list suggested (but also added the light house that was for colouring in in to the book to make an ace water colour photo!)

Things we achieved! Oscar enjoyed the painting the most and Eva-Beatrix enjoyed the planting.

Overall thoughts

I love nature, my children more so! They were really glad to have the opportunity to try the Willow and Wild box and I love that these boxes teach children about nature in a really fun way. The handy cards are vibrant in colour, extremely informative and really inviting for little explorers plus the crafts in the box are a great after school activity to keep little hands and minds busy or in our case the summer holidays!

My children loved doing the crafts in this pack (especially the water colour jellyfish!) and I know they will enjoy filling in the nature journal activity too over the holidays.  The boxes are small enough to fit through your letterbox which is very handy.

Would I recommend this subscription box to other parents? Yes, I think the materials and activities are definitely good value for money plus an educational tool and most of all it got the children asking lots of questions which was brilliant – my son actually sat and took part!

It definitely can be included in an activity in a previous blog post – 50 small activities to do at home! Plus 10 Benefits of Gardening for the Familyalso advantages to health Lets Play Outdoors – Why Nature Is Great For Us!

Disclosure – we were sent this box free in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts, opinions and photos are my own.
