Poem for my second born baby.

You may be my second born baby but first born boy you will always be,
No matter how big you grow my baby you will always be.
How the years go by,
Soon you’ll be four,
You will set your feet upon a new school walking through the door.
How time can certainly fly.
Oh, how in life I hope you soar!
From once just a thought in far away dreams,
once in my arms,
and how small you did seem,
the presence of you.
Your laughter and smiles,
which go on for miles,
warm my heart and soul.
You’re growing up so fast and I wish each moment with you to forever last.
My little boy will someday be a man,
and right by your side I will forever stand.
Yes, life can be a challenge – we struggle and when you fall the pieces I will pick up,
I will hold your hand and help you stand tall.
And when the day comes when you are on your own,
never feel that you are alone.
This month you turn another year older,
cliche as it sounds I can’t believe how fast time has gone,
yet look at you! Getting bolder and bolder.
No matter how near or far apart,
I am always right there in your heart.
Always remember whatever you go through and that no matter what, I will always love you.
