Been unexpectedly tagged in ‘The Mystery Blogger Award’ and I’ll start off by linking the Small Beauty Blog who nominated me (thankyou!) Which is awesome as I haven’t believed my blog was worthy of reads so feel really happy whether it’s because I’ve spread awareness, advice or just fun reads which is what I feel blogging is about – involving the community from all over the world, creed and colour! I love all bloggers from the ones who blog on parenting, food, beauty, travel, mental health. The creator of this Blogger award is Okoto Enigma!
I’ve pasted the rules, will answer the questions I’ve been given and write my own to my own nominees!

Since I’ve already finished the first four rules, let’s start with the fifth rule:
Three things about myself

  1. I have a very dark sense of humour which can be very inappropriate but it’s how I’ve always been or how I’ve learnt to handle life and it’s hard for people to comprehend that.
  2. From a young age I’ve always been the outsider and now as I’ve grown up I’ve learnt by being unique I am special and I shouldn’t change that. I was the primary school child obsessed with story writing and a teacher telling her it was rubbish. I was the loner kid on the bus listening to Good Charlotte or the emo at the gigs with a fringe over one eye.
  3. I obsessively hoover and steam mop.

The five questions I’ve been asked by Small Beauty Blog
1. What is your ideal working environment?
I haven’t exactly established what I want to do in life yet (late twenties I should’ve already) but my own development has been delayed by circumstance. I’ve worked in retail and cafe and failed at journalism as a teenager as just didn’t commit but I would love a job as a funeral director – not a dead end job (not funny?) but I believe it’s something I could handle whether dealing with the corpses or the people as I do have an empathy inside that should be seen and utilised. I’m afraid of death itself sometimes but not afraid of emotions of others. The dead don’t speak.
2. If you could be any animal in the world, what would you be and why?
Hard question – on one hand I’d be a turtle because they live forever and chill. On the other hand I’d be a shark as I’d actually be able to scare people away from me, I’d eat you!.. Wait… Not like that…
3. What’s the weirdest food combination you enjoy?
I’ve ate alsorts of weird things in my time – people usually say peanut butter, jam and cheese (which is nice) but nah, the other day I ate a mix of leftovers and just made it work which was refried beans, roast vegetables, left over stroganoff and houmous! I pretty much eat anything.
4. What motivates you to keep blogging?
I’ve been in a couple of self esteem damaging relationships, been off social media a while, I get out of the human limelight, yet now in 2018 my character that’s the strongest I’ve felt in knowing who I am and I have flaws (who doesn’t) but I can’t change for people anymore. I won’t fit in. I don’t want to.
I have three children of three origins – what else would anyone expect from me? I’m sporadic, damaged yet awesome. Two are mixed race – or quarter cast if you will – and the other has a white father. I hid two pregnancies and felt shame for how, why it all came about but by blogging I don’t want to hide anymore. I’ve felt such pressure I don’t want my children to feel that and I’m lucky already I can teach my children it’s ok to be you. My blog is on lifestyle, mental health, reviews, anything because why should I categorize when I can be whatever I want to be.
5. Would you rather have an easy job working for someone else, or work for yourself but with an incredibly hard job?
They say if you enjoy work you don’t work a day in your life – right now with a 4 month old baby and two other children my main priority is them but I will make them have a home forever. My parents are strong workers making their own nest egg and I will provide the same for my children whether hard or easy. So – work – I don’t care I want the money at the moment to provide and I’ve lost the innocent dreams I used to have as a teenager although I will hopefully one day do something I enjoy. Perhaps. I’d probably end up working for someone.

Six questions to my 12 nominees –

  1. If you had any super power what would it be and why? (that’s the ‘funny’ question’)
  2. What’s your most impressive ‘go to’ meal that you can cook?
  3. Are you ok?
  4. What is your hometown best known for?
  5. What board game always ends badly?

Sixth question as I break the rules: Would you rather live your entire life in a virtual reality where all your wishes are granted or in the real world?

I nominate people I hope would take part if they haven’t done so already – blogs that are inspiring or engaging which are:

  1. Muddlymum – may contain triggers – about mental health
  2. Daddypoppins – a punny dad guy.
  3. Mixedupmummy – lifestyle and parenthood
  4. DIYERFY – DIY YOUR LIFE
  5. Pickinguptoys – shes Welsh. Oh, and a mother. But she’s also Welsh.
  6. Onehullofadad – daddy blog from good old ‘Ull!!
  7. Autumnsmummyblog – lifestyle and parenting.
  8. Hooksanddragons – blogging crochet queen
  9. Jakijellz – mumma who likes a gin or 3.
  10. Annabankester – Southern gothic beauty blogger
  11. Dreamdeskclairelouise – very new blogger (more new than I!) so work in progress – not on Twitter but on facebook and a friend – will be a blog on wellness.
  12. Fatherfoodfun – pretty much the title!

Hopefully people join in – anyone feel free to comment their own answers as I can’t tag you all! Join in on the comments!
I don’t know what my own best post is yet – perhaps it hasn’t been done yet – however I feel Winifred Phoenix-Koda – how l handled and view single pregnancy and labour has been a personal one for me – another massive journey.

  1. Congrats on being nominated – it’s always really nice when people recognize your blog as one they enjoy. 🙂 I don’t have a set “this is my career” type of job either. It’s okay; these things take time, especially in this day and age where it’s kind of hard to get jobs.
